Betting on tax season...

So I almost broke New Years Goal #2 already by not posting a blog in a week....but I came through tonight w/ a 36 hours to go. That's right, i can perform under pressure....

Where to begin? So I went 2-2 (again) betting on the NFL playoffs last week. So that brings my playoff total to 4-4...a far cry from my 68% winning percentage for the regular season. Oh well, 3 games left.....looking to go 2-1 (see, i'm not being greedy, i just want to finish 6-5, which will = UP MONEY. I have no thoughts on this week's games yet, although I think I want to see a Arizona/Baltimore Super Bowl, which is probably the last scenario the NFL wants since the Steelers aren't involved.

IU has played two games (if you want to call them that) since my last posting. They got lambasted by a total of 55 points to Illinois and Ohio State. So they are 0-4, 25% of the 0-16 quest is complete. Surely they'll beat someone, but the normal bottom feeders Northwestern and Penn State have played some of the top Big 10 teams thus far...so could be tough on the Hoosiers.

Went to the Pacers game last night and enjoyed every minute of it. For those of you in the city that gave up on the team because of their thug image the past few years, I suggest giving them another chance. After all, we have to be one of the few, if not the only, teams in the NBA that can throw 5 American white guys on the court at the same time. So you gotta respect that.

The eve of busy season is upon me....I slowly feel it getting busier and busier. It's like i'm very close to the top of a real tall rollercoaster awaiting for the eventual fall. I'm not even sure that analogy works here, but it's my blog, so deal w/ it. I did think of something I'm going to add to my postings during busy season and I'm very excited about it! I'm going to keep track of every $ of taxable income I'm responsible for reviewing the corporate/individual tax returns for and post a running total on here....maybe it'll give my family members an idea of what I'm in charge of/responsible for over the next few months. Plus I'm curious as to how much income I actually review for all of my tax returns....so I'll add that to my next posting as I'll have some finalized tax returns by then I'm sure. My guess is that it'll be around $103 million of taxable income on all the returns I review between now and 4/15/09, but we'll have to wait and see.

Oh and to the few people who emailed me or texted me and asked where my video link was on my last blog....it's the word that's underlined that you can click....so click it. Older generations...geez.

On a funny note (unless your name is Matt Taylor), Matt Taylor got two traffic tickets in less than 5 minutes last night. Yep, that's my roommate, who is also responsible for educating today's youth in Whiteland.

And I leave you w/ this golf advice....because ESPN is teasing me w/ their "we are showing the first two rounds of the Masters" commercials already.

Total Taxable Income on 2008 tax returns I've reviewed to date = $0
